KOZHAN drone detectors

A drone detector scans radio-frequency bands and detects the UAV video signal, warning the operator in advance. VANGUARD makes two models: KOZHAN 4.0 scans 4 bands (900–8200 MHz), KOZHAN 3.0 — 3 bands (900–6150 MHz), without 6G and with a narrower 3G (up to 4150 MHz). Detection range is from 3 km for KOZHAN 4.0 and from 2 km for KOZHAN 3.0. All other specifications are the same: up to 12 hours of battery life, IP54 protection and EW auto-start. Below is a comparison to help you choose for your task.

How to choose a drone detector

A detector works best paired with an EW system: KOZHAN detects the UAV by its radio signal, and a compatible EW system switches on automatically on the detected target. See also the EW systems comparison, remote antenna and the FAQ.

Detector FAQ

How does KOZHAN 3.0 differ from KOZHAN 4.0?
Primarily in the 6G band: KOZHAN 4.0 scans 4 bands (1G / 3G / 5G / 6G), KOZHAN 3.0 — 3 (1G / 3G / 5G), without the 6G band (6000–8200 MHz). KOZHAN 3.0's 3G band is also 2700–4150 MHz (2700–4500 MHz in 4.0). Detection range is from 3 km for KOZHAN 4.0 and from 2 km for KOZHAN 3.0. All other specifications are the same: scanning up to 7 seconds, 5″ IPS display, up to 12 hours of battery life, IP54 protection and EW auto-start. KOZHAN 4.0 costs UAH 29,000, KOZHAN 3.0 — UAH 16,000.
Which drone detector should I choose?
KOZHAN 4.0 — if you need maximum coverage, including the 6G band (6000–8200 MHz). KOZHAN 3.0 — if the 6G band is not critical for your task and price matters: the same capabilities in the 1G / 3G / 5G bands for UAH 16,000, so within the same budget you can equip more positions. If in doubt, describe your task to a manager and they will recommend a model.
How does the KOZHAN drone detector work?
The detector scans the configured frequency bands and detects the analog video signal of a UAV, warning the operator before visual contact. It has three automatic scanning modes, a signal log, Wi-Fi software updates and an external display connection via AV.
Are KOZHAN detectors in stock?
KOZHAN 4.0 is in stock. KOZHAN 3.0 is made to order in 3–5 days. Sales are by request: a manager will agree on the configuration, payment and delivery.
Can a remote antenna and an EW system be connected to the detector?
Yes, both models support this. The remote antenna separates the receiving antennas from the operator: for KOZHAN 4.0 it can be chosen as an option (UAH 36,000 for the detector with the antenna), for KOZHAN 3.0 it is bought separately for UAH 7,000. Through the auto-start connection (MT-30) the detector automatically switches on a compatible EW system on a detected target.
